Darius Adams had a team-high 19 points to lead Team Hines over Brotherly Love, 88-75. Kyle Hines contributed 18 points on 6-for-7 shooting in the win. Samme Givens had a game-high 22 points on 9-for-14 shooting to pace the offense for Brotherly Love.
TBT features 64 teams of top professional, college alumni, and international basketball players competing in a single-elimination 5-on-5 tournament for a winner-take-all $2 Million prize. All games will air on ESPN networks beginning Friday, July 19th, culminating with the championship game on Tuesday, August 6th live at 9:00 pm ET on ESPN. Regional competitions will be hosted in Greensboro, Memphis, Lexington, and Columbus on July 19th-21st. Richmond, Salt Lake City, Wichita, and Syracuse will also host regional competitions on July 25th-July 28th.
The highly-competitive tournament has attracted some of the best basketball players in the world. In 2018, Overseas Elite won for the fourth year in a row. Teams compete for spots in the tournament by soliciting votes from fans and supporters via social media. Applicants must be 18 or older and willing to forego their amateur status.
