The Boston Celtics defeated the Indiana Pacers 133-128, to take a 1-0 series lead in the Eastern Conference Finals. Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 36 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 assists while Jrue Holiday (28 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists) and Jaylen Brown (26 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists) totaled 54 points. Tyrese Haliburton led the Pacers with 25 points and 10 assists as Pascal Siakam (24 points, 12 rebounds, 7 assists) and Myles Turner (23 points, 10 rebounds) added 47 points. Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals will take place on Thursday, May 23 (8:00 p.m. ET, ESPN).
This is the first time in Boston’s franchise history where three players totaled 25+ points in a Conference Finals game. Since the 1970-71 season (first season with Eastern and Western conferences), it’s just the ninth time it’s happened in a Conference Finals game ever.

Pascal Siakam joined Paul George as the only players in Pacers history with 25+ PTS, 10+ REB, and 5+ AST in a Conference Finals game. George did so on May 30, 2013, in a loss v the Miami Heat (27 PTS, 11 REB, 5 AST).
