In January, the highest prices of gasoline were recorded in Turkey, Norway, and the Netherlands.

The price of gasoline in Lithuania was 6.94 US dollars per gallon last month, while in Turkey it cost 9.89 US dollars per gallon.

As estimated by Bloomberg, Lithuanians consume 0.08 gallon of gas a day on average – less than a third of the ranking’s average.

Latvia was ranked 28th, or 16th by “pain at the pump”, Estonia – 32nd (22nd), and Poland – 36th (15th).

Three countries at the bottom of the ranking include Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait.

“Pain at the pump” is measured by the percentage of average daily income needed to buy a gallon of fuel.

The Bloomberg Gas Price Ranking includes 60 countries across the world. Gas prices are from January 3-18.
