Comparing how the Baltic States have handled the pandemic: Lithuania sees the least decline in consumption and exports

The Baltic and Northern countries have withstood the coronavirus pandemic the best, economists from various countries concluded in Swedbank’s economy forum. However, when comparing only the Baltic States to one another, it can be seen that the impact of the crisis was different across the countries. For example, Latvia saw the largest domestic consumption decrease despite its lockdown being the softest of the three countries. Meanwhile, Estonia saw the largest drop in its exports.
