Concerning signals in Klaipėda Port – freight numbers no longer growing or even declining

Recently through Klaipėda Port, the amount of freight passing through has been remaining constant or even declining compared to last year despite growth still having been recorded in the first half of this year, interim port head Vidmantas Paukštė said. This does not reduce the draw of investment – there are plans to deepen the port to 17 meters, new territories are needed and there are hopes for an external port for the future.
