Darnu Group continues work in Paupys: two new plots of land acquired

The Old Town area of Paupys, which has gained the favour of Vilnius residents and the capital’s guests, is becoming ever more vibrant and beautiful. Darnu Group is continuing work in the area – two small plots of land have been purchased, with residential and commercial structures to be developed on them.

The new buildings will emerge on Aukštaičiai and Paupys streets in 2023. The 17.25 acre plot will feature a commercial purpose building with residential premises, the 7.32 acre plot will feature a residential apartment building. The new structures will blend with the architectural style of the area and, same as the previous buildings, will stand out with their modern additions – underground parking lots will be created, apartments will have spacious terraces, yards.

“Paupys is undergoing a true renaissance – more and more people are discovering the area not just as an attractive place to live, but also to work and spend free time in. We are pleased with the successful implementation of the first stages of the Paupys project and are continuing to implement the remaining ones. When presented with the opportunity, we purchased two plots near the structures we are developing – as we create the area’s look, the small parts that form the whole are crucial,” Darnu Group CEO Sigita Survilaitė-Mekionienė says.

According to her, the plot at Paupys Street 33 has long needed change – it might be small, but the old, dilapidated wooden houses that stood here were only tarnishing the view and so, it was begging for renewal. Instead, a new apartment building will be constructed there – a small but important contribution towards gradually shaping the area.

Darnu Group will preserve the 383 square metre building on Aukštaičiai Street 2, which contains the children’s kindergarten Klaužada. This castle-like building has been included in the register for immovable cultural property.

Darnu Group has already completed the construction of four residential blocks, as well as communal and commercial blocks. Currently, the company is developing another two blocks and the business centre Paupio Darboteka.
