Following a complaint by the association, Šiauliai Regional Court applied interim measures this week and temporarily ordered that Jonas Dagys, the director of Lithuanian-based ECAA Europe, make decisions only in conjunction with ECAA, Vytautas Joncas of the court told BNS.

"The request for interim measures is based on suspicion that the CEO of ECAA Europe entered into illicit transactions with other companies he controls. Also, according to them, many contracts and payments are being made to companies related with the main shareholder of ECAA Europe, and shares are being transferred in breach of laws and the company's documents, etc," he said.

ECAA Europe, a joint Lithuanian-Chinese venture, is an official representative of Chinese car manufacturers in Europe.

According to ECAA Europe, Chinese investors are represented by ECAA, which brings together about 1,200 Chinese manufacturers with 5,000 factories, and Lithuanian investors are represented by the association Vaivorykštė and two private individuals.
