Valery Golubev, the vice-chairman of Gazprom's management board, is taking part in the meeting at the Energy Ministry, sources told BNS.

Earlier in the day, Golubev participated in the meeting of shareholders of Lietuvos Dujos (Lithuanian Gas), in which he was elected the chairman of the Lithuanian company's management board, they said.

The Energy Ministry says that this is the first preparatory meeting with Gazprom's representatives for a working group recently set up by Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius for talks on the terms of natural gas supply to Lithuania. It says that only organizational issues are being discussed during the meeting.
