Kestutis Sliuzas to step in as CEO of Lithuania’s Teo LT

Kestutis Sliuzas, 41, has been appointed general manager of Teo LT, Lithuania’s biggest integrated telecommunication, IT and TV services group, effective from Nov. 1.

“I am very pleased with the confidence given to me by the board of Teo LT. It would be an exciting opportunity to become the manager of such a company in any part of the world,” a press release from Teo LT quoted Sliuzas as saying.

He added that he was glad to have an opportunity to use his experience in product development, marketing, sales and management in a highly competitive Lithuanian telecommunications market.

According to the press release, Sliuzas has been the managing director of Tetra Pak Ukraine since January 2011. Recently he has also been leading the Tetra Pak sales and marketing functions in the Eastern Europe and Central Asia region.

Sliuzas had shown abilities to be an excellent leader with the right customer focus, Malin Frenning, Teo LT board chairwoman, said in the press release.

Arunas Siksta worked as general manager of Teo LT until February 2013. Giedrius Vegys is currently working as the company’s acting general manager.

Teo LT is quoted on the blue-chip Main List of the NASDAQ OMX Vilnius Stock Exchange.
