Vidmantas Salietis, the director of the Wholesale Electricity Trade Department at Lietuvos Energija (Lithuanian Energy), will be the only Lithuanian representative on the advisory board, the state-owned electricity production company said.

The aim of the 16-strong advisory board is to ensure communication between Nord Pool Spot's management and market participants.

Robertas Staniulis of Lithuania's electricity transmission company Litgrid currently represents the three Baltic countries on Nord Pool Spot's board of directors.

Nord Pool Spot launched operations in Lithuania in the middle of last year. Latvia is expected to join the power exchange next June.
