Lithuania's innovative socks manufacturer Skinija has recently received an order from the Danish police to knit socks for police dogs to protect them from leg injuries during rescue operations, the business daily Verslo Zinios reported on Wednesday.
Earlier this year, the Kaunas-based company won a contract to knit socks for Norwegian soldiers and shipped batches of ladies tights made from wool and cotton to North America, Mexico and Canada.
Skinija makes both its own branded products and products for its customers. It has posted around 26 million to 27 million (EUR 7.5-7.8 mln) in annual revenues in recent years.
