On Tuesday, Rokiškio Sūris did not even start loading products for the Russian market into trucks, Dalius Trumpa, the company's chairman, told BNS.
"We'll sell cheese in other markets, because it isn't a perishable dairy product. As to yoghurt, curd and sour cream, we decided even not to put these products into the packaging for the Russian market so that we don't have to discard them later and don't incur more losses. These products will be sold in Lithuania," he said.
Pieno Žvaigždės spokeswoman Virginija Žygienė told BNS that trucks with the company's products had not tried to cross the Russian border on Tuesday.
