Lords LB set to buy shopping centers in Lithuania and Latvia

Lords LB Baltic Fund III, the property fund controlled by the investment company Lords LB Asset Management, is set to buy the shopping centers in Lithuania and Latvia, which are owned by Iceland’s SMI Real Estate Group, the web portal vz.lt reports citing unofficial sources.

According to the sources of the portal, the market value of the property units concerned might reach around 100 million euros.

In Lithuania, Lords LB Baltic Fund III will reportedly invest in the shopping center Arena in Šiauliai (of 12,000 square meters), the shopping center Arena in Klaipėda (of 17,500 square meters) as well as the shopping centers in Alytus and Marijampolė (of 7,400 square meters).

The largest tenants of these centers include Rimi, Jysk, Elektromarkt, and others.

In Latvia, the fund will acquire the shopping centers Depo and Stirnu in Riga, Rietumu in Liepaja, and Valdeka in Jelgava.

Lords LB Asset Management had already applied to Lithuania’s and Latvia’s competition regulations for the clearance of the deal, vz.lt reported citing sources in the Competition Council.

The representatives of Lords LB Asset Management would not make any comments on Monday.
