According to the survey, 0.8 percent of respondents believe that taxes in Lithuania are too low, while 8.3 percent said they were optimal.
More than half of those polled said they opposed introducing new taxes. The survey inquired about their views on the universal automobile tax.
Some 69.1 percent of respondents said they were against the new tax, while 12.7 percent said they were rather against and 12.2 percent supported the tax.
Residents of Lithuania would most support raising excise duties on tobacco (38.9 percent) and alcohol (36.6 percent).
Another 16.2 percent would not object a rise in the profit tax, while 12.9 percent would opt for a universal tax on real estate.
Spinter Surveys carried out the poll of 1,007 residents between ages of 18 and 75 on July 26-31.
