Norwegian construction company looking for subcontractors in Lithuania

AF Group, Norway’s leading construction, property management, and engineering holding company, says that it has been buying more goods and services from Lithuania of lately and plans to work with more Lithuanian construction companies in future, the Verslo Žinios business daily reports.

Representatives of AF Group, which generated a turnover of around 4.5 billion litas (EUR 1.3b) last year, and Hent, one of the fastest-growing Norwegian construction companies that achieved the turnover of around 1.4 billion litas last year, visited Lithuania to look for contractors earlier this month.

Katrine Skjerpan, international purchaser at Hent, told the daily that the company had not yet been using the services of foreign subcontractors actively.

Meanwhile Ragnar Furru, vice-president for procurement at AF Group, said that the imports of goods and services by Norway’s construction sector were growing continuously and the company itself was buying more and more abroad as well.
