Tallinn overtakes Vilnius in apartment prices

Tallinn has, for the first time since 2007, overtaken Vilnius as the most expensive Baltic capital in terms of apartment prices, according to the real estate services company Ober-Haus.

The average apartment price in Tallinn remained the highest among the three Baltic capitals in April, as it had been in March, at 1,206 euros per square meter. The average price in Vilnius last month was 1,195 euros and that in Riga was 991 euros, it said in a press release.

Apartment prices in Vilnius edged up by 0.4 percent in April from March, while those in Tallinn edged down by 0.4 percent. Prices in Riga remained unchanged.

In April year-on-year, the average per-square meter price in Tallinn jumped by 10 percent and that in Riga was up by 1.2 percent, while the average price in Vilnius went down by 0.5 percent.
