The information also specifies links between some media companies and Lithuanian politicians.

"We want the people of Lithuania to know who the owners of their favorite media outlets are and the networks connecting businesses and the media. We expect the website to bring more transparency to the Lithuanian media market and encourage the people of Lithuania to take more interest in operations of media companies," Sergejus Muravjovas, director of the Vilnius bureau of Transparency International, said in a press release.

The information contained on the website has been collected from the Culture Ministry and the Lithuanian national broadcaster.
