According to Darnu Group CEO Sigita Survilaitė-Mekionienė, the newly built residential buildings are notable for the crucial attributes of high quality and comfortable living, and are an excellent addition to the Paupys area.
“Blocks planned out by different architects create the area’s multi-layered exclusivity and unique character. However, they are all bound by the common pursuit of ensuring that every building is integrated with the surrounding nature and adapt to the requirements dictated by the city’s history, while also offering all the contemporary conveniences needed in the daily lives of Paupys residents,” says S. Survilaitė-Mekionienė.
Most apartments already purchased or reserved
When planning Paupys’ blocks, a significant deal of attention was focused on the surrounding infrastructure: convenient mobility, assurance of everyday services, and high-quality characteristics, exclusive architecture, plus the synergy of residential, commercial and public functions. All the residential blocks have diverse enclosed yards, where leisure and entertainment zones have been planned out for both children and adults.
The completed blocks – the fourth, and the first part of the seventh – were designed by architect Tadas Balčiūnas’ office and architect Andrius Juodpusis. The objects were built by the developers UAB Naresta and UAB Baltijos Pašvaistė, and 156 apartments and three commercial premises were introduced to the market during these stages with the majority of these being already reserved or purchased.
Darnu Group’s investment into the fourth and first part of the seventh block reaches around 20 million euros.
Construction works continue in Paupys
Currently, construction work continues in the second stage of Paupys’ seventh block where work is continuing on a commercial segment intended for offices and commercial premises, which will offer everyday services to Paupys’ residents, staff and visitors. Over 100 apartments are being built during this stage.
Construction work is also ongoing in the area’s sixth block, where a total of 182 new apartments and eight commercial spaces will be built. Just as in the completed blocks, this one is to have enclosed yards with resting zones, and one of them will transform into a unique open-air art gallery. In spring 2021, there are plans for reconstruction and façade restoration for the long-abandoned building on Aukštaičiai Street, with its residential purpose being restored.
