Zabolis Partners and Estonia's LHV set to buy Snoras Leasing

Zabolis Partners, an investment banking company headed by Alvydas Zabolis, and Estonia's bank LHV are buying Snoro Lizingas (Snoras Leasing), a consumer finance company formerly owned by the collapsed bank Snoras, the Vz.lt news website reports citing unofficial sources.

An agreement on the purchase of Snoras Lizingas will be signed with Snoras' bankruptcy administrator at 2 PM on Thursday, it wrote.

The value of the deal is not being disclosed for now.

According to the sources, Zabolis Partners is interested in Snoras Lizingas itself and is ready to invest in the company's capital, but it does not want to assume the obligation to pay off the loans it owes to Snoras. Therefore, LHV has been brought into the deal to refinance the loans.

Snoras' loans to Snoras Lizingas totaled around 150 million litas (EUR 43.5m), but this amount has been recently reduced by about half, according to unofficial information available to Vz.lt.

Zabolis Partners and a LHV-related company were also mentioned as potential buyers of the Snoras-owned bank Finasta.

There is speculation in the market that Snoro Lizingas could be sold for around 5 million litas. Analysts said earlier that the company could fetch between 10 million and 15 million litas.
