The delegation's agenda in Vilnius includes meetings with President Dalia Grybauskaitė, ministers of economy and justice, parliamentarians, as well as representatives of business and consumer organizations.
In the course of the visit, the committee will discuss the main priorities of Lithuania's EU Council presidency scheduled to start in July, the committee's chairman Malcolm Harbour has said in a press release. The expected priorities include improvement of product safety and home market, as well as proposals to develop the internal market in the electronic media.
Lithuania will hold EU Council presidency in the second half of this year.
