The treasure of chunks of amber, which each measure a few centimeters in diameter, weighs about 1.5 kilograms.

Specialists believe the treasure was left behind by withdrawing German troops during World War II more than 50 years ago. In addition to amber, the treasure included unfinished amber jewelery, a fragment of thick window glass and a piece of iron horseshoe.

A bottle containing a love letter was discovered in the area a few weeks ago.
