Finnish, Russian tourists spend most in Vilnius in 2012

Tourists from Finland last year spent more money in Vilnius than visitors from any other country, at 635 litas (EUR 184.1) on average per day, followed by tourists from Russia in second place with 497 litas, according to a survey carried out for the Lithuanian capital's local government.

The average foreign tourist spent 275 litas a day and 1,120 litas per trip.

Each tourist spent an average of 3.5 nights in Vilnius. Visitors from Asia, the United Kingdom and Russia tended to spend more than a week. The shortest visits, of one to two days, were by those from Belarus and Poland.
