"I believe that the Dalai Lama will feel the support from the people," Linkevičius said when asked whether Lithuania should express moral support to Tibet.
"There are no official meetings on the agenda, as there is the 'one China' policy and we follow it," the minister said.
According to information available to Linkevičius, no informal meetings with the country's top-ranking officials are planned.
"As far as I know, the Dalai Lama will have a lot of attention and very large audiences, so I think those who want to hear and see him will have the opportunity, which is the most important thing. No official meetings are planned," Linkevičius said.
Tibet's spiritual leader will be in Lithuania on September 11-14.
