The four suspicious men were apprehended in late hours of Saturday and turned out to be citizens of Georgia who had no ID documents.

After checking the site of detention with a scent dog, the border guards established that the men had walked into Lithuania on foot on a frozen river, which runs along the Lithuanian-Belarusian border.

All in all, Lithuanian border guards have detained ten illegals from Georgia this year.
