"The examination has been changed substantially, it is in fact two examinations now. What should we do?" Antanas Smetona, dean of the university's Faculty of Philology, said at a meeting of the parliamentary Committee on Education, Science, and Culture on Wednesday.
He noted that the Lithuanian-language graduation examination served as the entrance exam to Vilnius University.
In Smetona's words, the Lithuanian exam scores make up to 60 percent of the entrance grade to some courses.
"If this continues, we can think of introducing an entrance examination of the Lithuanian language for everyone," said the dean.
