Latvian beer floods street in Kaunas

A truckload of boxes filled with beer bottles ended on the street in Kaunas. "Cesu Alus" beer fell out of a truck with Latvian license plates and flooded the street shortly before noon on Tuesday, local authorities have said.

"Boxes of beer fell out of a Renault truck through its right-hand side after the tent ripped," Kęstutis Kasciukevičius of Kaunas police told BNS.

In his words, the truck was on its way from a Kaunas-based brewery Volfas Engelman.

The police had sealed off the site for a few hours after the incident.
