"As we mark the 20th anniversary of our Constitution, we can be proud of being a stable, democratic state recognized by the international community. Only by following the Constitution can we trust each other. Respect for the Constitution is respect for the state and its people," President Dalia Grybauskaitė said in a statement.

Winners of the Constitution exam will be awarded at the Presidential Palace. The ceremony will be attended by the president and Minister of Justice Remigijus Šimašius.

A gala event for the legal community will also be held at the Presidential Palace on Thursday.

The existing Constitution of the Republic of Lithuania was adopted in a referendum on 25 October 1992.
