Lithuanian officers seize over 10 kilograms of drugs

Lithuanian law-enforcement officers seized more than 10kg of narcotic and psychotropic substances in Lentvaris, a town 20km west of Vilnius.

The drugs are estimated to fetch between 200,000 and 250,000 litas (EUR 58,000-72,500) on the black market, according to Vilnius County Central Police Commissariat.

In cooperation with border services, Vilnius police apprehended an individual in Lentvaris on Sunday on the suspicion of carrying a very large shipment of drugs to Lithuania.

Searches of the man's home and car revealed more than 10 kg of cannabis and their components, as well as a few hundred grams of hashish and amphetamines.
