She emphasized that Lithuania could take pride in yet another generation of officers who hold the responsibility for Lithuanian and international security.
"It is you responsibility, dedication and courage that will protect us, and the example of love to Homeland will inspire us all to respect Lithuania and every individual. We will recall this day, your eyes filled with hope and pride in you – this will not allow us to doubt and ask 'why?' even in the most difficult days of your lives," the president said.
"You will definitely have such days in your military service, just as you will have special moments when your contribution will lead to victory of your unit, battalion and country. Be worthy of the Lithuanian respect, our hopes and your noble goals," Grybauskaitė said.
