The court examined evidence and ruled that the words Kusaitė uttered to the prosecutor were insulting and humiliating, as well as misleading.
An appeal against the verdict can be filed within 20 days. Kusaitė told journalists she would file an appeal against the Tuesday's ruling.
In her words, the fine is a big burden, as she is currently unemployed. Furthermore, this is her second verdict for insulting prosecutors.
In another case, Kusaitė has been found guilty of insulting Laucius and making threats. She was then given a fine of 7,800 litas. The verdict is yet to be enforced.
At the Tuesday hearing, the court examined the statement Kusaitė made after a hearing on 24 March 2011, when prosecutor Mindaugas Dūda requested that Kusaitė be put in prison.
"I do not want to make any comments, it is a country of nonsense, and the prosecutor, in my opinion, is committing crimes. How can they murder people, see what they're doing to my aunt and my relatives. Laucius and Dūda are criminals," Kusaitė then said in front of television cameras.
Laucius is the only plaintiff in the case, as Dūda did not file a complaint.
Kusaitė pleaded not guilty on Tuesday.
