Man froze to death in southern Lithuania

A man froze to death in Alytus, a town in the south of Lithuania, the police said on Thursday.

The unidentified man, aged between 40 and 50, was found under the stairs of a local supermarket on Wednesday morning. The man was taken to hospital with suspected frostbites and later passed away.

In a separate incident on Sunday, a man, 77, was found frozen to death in his unheated apartment in Vilkaviškis, southwestern Lithuania.
