No prime-time for foreign TV series on Lithuanian national TV

Lithuania's national broadcaster LRT plans to move foreign TV series out of the prime time from the upcoming fall, Rimvydas Paleckis, director of the LRT TV, said at a Tuesday meeting of the Council of the Lithuanian Radio and Television, which started from the discussion of the 2013-2014 season's TV listings.

According to Paleckis, foreign TV series have been broadcast on LRT „just because of the constant lack of funding.“

„But now we have a certain ambition and feel that we can afford to create TV listings for the fall between 6 and 10 p. m. without foreign production,“ Paleckis said.
