In his words, 300 seats have been booked for the Polish fans; however, the Poznan club has refused to distribute the tickets among the club's fans.
Ovčinikovas, commercial and technical director at Žalgiris, tells BNS that this is a sign of the Polish club's unwillingness to take responsibility of the bad conduct of their fans.
"The UEFA rules prescribe a quota of 5 percent of the capacity of the stadium, i.e., we have to book 249 seats for them. We even offered them more – 300. They have so far refused (…) to take them, distribute and sell. We want it to be a beautiful event, football rather than something else, therefore, we want the club to distribute the tickets in order to avoid a situation of a crowd of fans coming without tickets and attempting to break in," Ovčinikovas said.
In his words, Lech club has been asked to send names of the fans who will want to observe the match.
"In this case, their only response to the proposals is as follows: we won't distribute anything, we won't collect anything, we won't send anything, we won't do this and that. My response was that they should then be so kind to take the responsibility before their fans. They are attempting to dodge responsibility for the conduct of the fans in Vilnius, Lithuania and the stadium," said Ovčinikovas.
