"I just spoke with the duty officers, the tumbled car has been lifted. Railway traffic was resumed at 11:52 PM," Vidmantas Gudas of Lietuvos Geležinkeliai (Lithuanian Railways) told BNS on Friday morning.

In his words, the “contact network for electricity-powered trains” was switched back on at about 4 AM on Friday.

The speed limit for trains in Kaišiadorys has been lowered to 15 km/h. In Gudas' words, the limit will remain in effect for all of Friday.

"Passenger trains run about 10-15 minutes late," he said.

The incident occurred in Kaišiadorys, some 45 kilometers east of Kaunas. A railroad train was dispatched to the scene.

No injuries were reported in connection to the incident, which led to cancellation of routes from Vilnius to Kaunas and Klaipėda.
