Six percent of Lithuanians plan to emigrate soon

Some 6 percent of Lithuanians say they plan to emigrate from the country soon, more than a third say they sometimes consider the option, shows a poll published on Monday.

Asked whether they thought lately about emigration from Lithuania, 5.9 percent of respondents said they planned to leave the country soon, a tenth (10.1 percent) said they often thought about it and a fourth (25.1 percent) sometimes considered the option.

According to the survey published on delfi.lt news portal, another 57.9 percent of those polled said they did not plan to leave the country.

The poll of 1,008 respondents was carried out by Spinter Tyrimai (Spinter Surveys) pollster on 15-22 June.
