Sunny weather not to bring warmth to Lithuania

Sunny skies are expected in Lithuania until Thursday, however, warmer temperatures are not in the cards for the country, weather services said.

The lowest temperature on the night to Tuesday should be around -9--14 degrees Celsius, Tuesday will be partly cloudy and dry amid -1-+3 degrees.

Above-zero daytime temperatures are this week forecast for Kaunas, Klaipeda, Siauliai and Panevezys

The night to Wednesday will again bring cold of -6--11 degrees, with the possibility of dropping to -15 degrees in some districts.

Wednesday will be sunny, however, the mercury will remain at about -1 degrees.

Similar weather will continue for the rest of the week, however, snow or sleet are expected in many districts on Friday and the Easter weekend. Nighttime temperatures will be around -10 degrees and daytime temperatures will be at -1-+2 degrees.
