Two die in traffic accidents over past week

Two people died in traffic accidents on Lithuanian roads over the past week, another 44 were injured, the Traffic Police Service said.

According to statistics, 38 traffic accidents involving human injuries were registered on 23-29 March. Among the injured, five were underage.

The fatal casualties included a driver and a passenger, a man and a woman of 52.

According to preliminary information, two accidents that left to people injured involved drink-driving.

Between 1 January and 30 March this year, 59 lives including two minors were lost on Lithuanian roads, a rise by seven people year-on-year.
