The court also ruled to confiscate the slogan with Stalin's image the offender held in his hands during a ceremony to mark the day of victory against Fascism in Antakalnio cemetery in Vilnius, according to court representative Airinė Šerelytė.

The ruling is not final, an appeal can be filed within 20 days.

In Lithuania, distribution, use at a meeting or any other massive gathering, or any other demonstration of Soviet Communist leaders' images carries a fine of 500-1,000 litas with the confiscation of the image.

Ivanov reportedly held two slogans with images of Soviet marshals and Stalin during an official event at Antakalnis Cemetery on May 9. Among participants of the event were ambassadors of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Armenia, and Kazakhstan, as well as members of Lithuanian veteran organizations.
