At around noon, police officers stopped a VW Golf with Soviet symbols on it. The sickle and hammer, as well as letters USSR, were put on front and back number plates.

Police officers filled in a protocol of administrative law violation. The driver is facing a fine of 500-1,000 litas (EUR 145-289).

The Lithuanian code of administrative law violations bans distribution and public display of nazi and soviet symbols. People found in violation of the regulation are liable to fines of up to one thousand litas and can have property that was used as a tool in violation confiscated.
