Wintry weather to remain in Lithuania

Wintry weather will remain in Lithuania over the next couple of days despite the mercury rising above freezing in places.

According to the Hydrometeorological Service, daytime temperatures will fluctuate around zero degrees centigrade this week and nighttime temperature will drop to as low as minus 15C.

-6-11C are forecast for Wednesday and Thursday night. Days will be cloudy, with the mercury rising to up to 2C.

Snow is expected in places on Friday with temperatures ranging from 0 to -3C.

The upcoming weekend will bring sleet and snow. Nighttime temperatures will drop to -6C and the mercury will stand around zero degrees during the days.

Snow is also forecast for Monday amid temperatures ranging from zero to -5C.
