The Seimas National Security and Defence Committee [NSGK], which reviewed details related to this scandal, decided to recommend for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to seek for Y. Prigozhin and his property to be included not only in the US, but also EU sanctions lists.

However, the question of what G. Žiemelis’ actual connections to the Kremlin are remains unanswered.

G. Žiemelis, of course, denies any such connections. However, questions arise not only over, as Seimas National Security and Defence Committee chairman Dainius Gaižauskas admitted publicly, “Y. Prigozhin’s airplane landed in Vilnius for repairs at one of the companies controlled by businessman Gediminas Žiemelis‘ Avia Solutions Group.
