Incumbent Dalia Grybauskaitė would win Lithuania's presidential election with 41 percent of vote, survey shows

41.1 percent of Lithuanian people would vote for incumbent President Dalia Grybauskaitė in presidential election, a recent survey by Vilmorus for magazine Valstybė has revealed.

Social Democratic Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius would be supported by 20.3 percent.

Other candidates would receive much lower support: only 5.9 percent would vote for Social Democratic MEP Vilija Blinkevičiūtė, followed by Deputy Speaker of the Seimas Irena Degutienė (5.8 percent), Labor Party MP Artūras Paulauskas (3.6 percent), Minister of Environment Valentinas Mazuronis (3 percent), leader of the Path of Courage party's political group in the Seimas, Neringa Venckienė, (1.6 percent), MP Linas Balsys and Deputy Speaker of the Seimas Petras Auštrevičius, (both 1.3 percent), and Minister of Health Vytenis Andriukaitis (1.1 percent).

Meanwhile 12.5 percent said they would not vote in presidential election at all.

Asked who would they vote for in a run-off contest between Grybauskaitė and Butkevičius, 47.3 percent said they would vote for Grybauskaitė and 30.3 percent would support Butkevičius.

1,003 people aged 18 and over were surveyed on April 10-14.
