He donated money to his own party, where he was put 1st on the candidate list, and also 14 of its candidates, the weekly magazine Veidas reports.
According to Veidas, a private individual may donate up to 21,750 litas to a single participant of the election campaign but the total sum of donations cannot exceed 10 percent of his annual declared income.
A candidate may earmark up to 43,500 litas to his election campaign, an amount donated by four candidates in the 2012 parliamentary elections; however, merely one of them – Kęstutis Daukšys of the Labor Party – won a mandate in the Seimas.
