If Seimas elections were held the upcoming Sunday, 26.7 percent of people surveyed would vote for the ruling party, according to a survey published by news website delfi.lt on Tuesday.

The results show that the ruling Labor Party would come in second with 15.3 percent and the opposition Homeland Union – Lithuanian Christian Democrats would get 8.8 percent of the vote.

The ruling Order and Justice Party and the opposition Liberal Movement would receive 6.9 percent each. The remaining parties would not exceed the 5 percent threshold to get into parliament.

1,004 people, aged 18-75, were surveyed by public opinion and market research company Spinter Tyrimai for delfi.lt on January 27-28.
