"The Belarusian acting embassy chief was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, and concern over Belarus' decision not to issue a visa to the Lithuanian representative, who planned to observe the Belarusian parliamentary elections as part of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly's mission of short-term observers, was expressed," the ministry's Information and Public Relations Department told BNS on Friday.

Zingeris confirmed on Wednesday that Belarus had refused him a visa. German MP Marieluise Beck was denied a Belarusian visa as well. Germany's Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Belarusian ambassador on Thursday.
