Lithuanian People's Party candidate list includes businessman Vladimir Romanov, twin basketball players Lavrinovič, and ballroom dancer

Vladimir Romanov, businessman and owner of Žalgiris Kaunas basketball club, is not only running for the parliament himself but is also bringing along several famous players including Lavrinovič twins Darjuš and Kšyštof and Rimantas Kaukėnas.

All three have contracts with Žalgiris for the season. Other famous candidates include professional ballroom dancer Andrius Kandelis.

On Tuesday, the Central Electoral Commission registered the candidates of Romanov's Lithuanian People's Party.

Romanov is the first candidate on the list, he is not running in any single-mandate constituency. Second in the list is the party's chairwoman Joana Šimanauskienė, who is also a candidate at the single-mandate district of Centras.

Number three is famous former Žalgiris player Vitoldas Masalskis, currently a coach, followed by former basketball player Anatolijus Čupkovas, Kaukėnas, Kandelis, former Raseiniai mayor Petras Vezbavičius, businessman Algimantas Paukštaitis, Darjuš Lavrinovič, and bodybuilding coach Ala Guseva.

Kšyštof Lavrinovič is listed 11th. Neither he, nor his brother are running for single-mandate districts.

The party has proposed a total of 61 candidates for multi-mandate voting and 26 candidates in single-mandate districts.
