The president also enquired about the candidate’s opinion on the new nuclear power plant, Vesaitė said without disclosing whether they shared the same opinion on this issue.
Vėsaitė said she could not say whether Grybauskaitė was convinced of her suitability for the position.
“We discussed business, competition issues... She said that she would make the decision later,” Vėsaitė told the reporters after the meeting.
Vėsaitė, who holds a degree in English, said that the meeting was held in Lithuanian.
“We only spoke Lithuanian. I speak English well,” she said.
