Applications can be submitted in person, via regular mail or email, the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry has said. Lithuanian citizens residing in countries without a Lithuanian mission should submit their applications to the nearest diplomatic office, which will enable them to vote by mail.
Lithuanian citizens included in voters lists in diplomatic missions will be able to cast ballots by coming to the diplomatic mission on the election day and during early voting, as well as by post.
The general elections are scheduled for 14 October. In the last parliamentary elections in 2008, over 10,000 people cast their ballots from abroad.
