Not the first time for sanctions against Lukashenko but Klaipėda Port companies aren’t looking for an alternative

The threats of President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, whom the West doesn’t recognise, to divert Belarusian cargo from the port of Klaipėda to other countries aren’t anything new. Belarusian politicians have made statements like this before but never implemented them. On the contrary, the volumes of Belarusian cargo in Klaipėda have been on the increase in the last decade. Port companies are talking seriously about possible losses, but so far have made no effort to reduce their dependence on Belarus.
