55 percent of those surveyed answered positively when asked whether Lithuania should amend its Constitution and allow Lithuanians to have dual citizenship, and 26 percent said they were against the initiative.

1,013 people were surveyed by Baltijos Tyrimai on March 16-26. The results were presented at a meeting of the Seimas Constitutional Commission on Wednesday.

The Seimas is considering to call a referendum on the legalization of dual citizenship alongside presidential elections next year.
